Colored Tights - How to Wear 'Em?

Colored tights have been trending for a while - I believe Gossip Girl is to thank! While Leighton Meester looks absolutely stunning in colored tights, I personally have just worked up the confidence to wear this bold trend. I've started with grey and red (I'm in a red phase.) After buying my tights, I searched through my closet to find things that would go with them. And I must admit that I was at a loss. They're bold alone, so I didn't want something crazy. Here's what I came up with:

Red Tights:

-I paired my SUPER bold red tights with grey high waisted shorts, a white blouse , a silver belt, and black flats. This would also be cute with black heals, depending on where you're wearing this outfit.

-This second look is much less daring than the above outfit, but adorable nonetheless! I paired the red tights with a navy dress and gold flats. Definitely an easy look for school and a good choice for those still working up their confidence to wear red tights (like me!)

Grey Tights:

-Grey tights are definitely less bold than red, making them a good "gateway tight." I paired my grey tights with a fitted black dress and black suede booties. A simple, classic look.

Still not sure? Here's some tips:
-Like I said before, colored tights are bold, so keep the rest of your outfit neutral.
-Keep it simple (relating back to the boldness of colored tights).
-But, if you want to be bold, then by all means be bold!
-Most importantly, be confident! It's the key to looking fabulous in any outfit!

Back!

Hi beautifuls,

Needless to say, I've been MIA for quite some time (four months, to be exact.) I hope you all had better, more relaxing semesters than I did, as my busy and hectic schedule is solely to blame for my lack of posts. But I didn't forget about you all! I'm ready to get back in action and I have ample time now (just got my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday.)

Stick around, fashion posts coming soon.

Much love!

You NEED This.

Happy Sunday loveys. Lately, I've been all about the products - hair products, cosmetics, toiletries and the like. Trying new things has always been a hobby of mine and after discovering an awesome discount beauty supply store by my school, it's kicked my hobby into an obsession. In my journey to discover some new products, I came across THE BEST leave-in/dangler ever!

It smells amazing, makes your hair super soft and the sent lasts! You can also use on dry hair just as a refresher. It's the best product I've come across in a super long time. You can get it at www.lucky11products.com but I suggest looking at your local discount beauty supply store, which is where I got it for steal at $4... then went back and bought a few more because I loved it so much. Try it out, I know you'll love it as much as I do!

Blue Blue Blue!

Navy, cobalt, royal, catalina... I just love them all! Blue has always been one of my favorite colors to wear but lately different shades have been coming into play and with accessories! Bags, jewelry, clutches, shoes and more are popping up in muted shades for Fall. Here's my top picks of the season and where to get them for less.

In-Store or Online?

As mentioned in my last post, there are some steals that are better found in-store and some that are easier found online. Here are my go-tos when shopping for deals online and in-store and where to go.

In-Store:
Boscov's.
A department store that I only recently came in contact with, Boscov's always has deals and clearances going on and they do sell designer brands, like BCBGeneration shoes and Calvin Klein apparel.

Macy's.
A department store that has a special place in my heart. Macy's is always mailing coupons to card holders and offering extra discounts through their sales.

H&M.
H&M has some amazing deals and adorable clothes, but I find that I'm only successful in finding something I love when I'm in the store.

Online:
Forever21.
Forever21 is kind of on the fence. There are reasons that I like going to the store and physically seeing/feeling the items because sometimes the fabric is cheap and can't be spotted online. but there are reasons why I like shopping online, such as the store can be so overwhelming and online helps keep everything organized. However, I put this in the online category because I seem to find more sale items online as well as more clothes, leading to better deals and more size and color options.

Modcloth.com
Obvi this is only an online store but the clothes on Modcloth are so cute and reasonable prices! I highly recommend. Check out the sales section!

Which do you prefer?

End of Summer Steals!

With summer coming to an end, I hope you're taking advantage of all the fashion steals! I know I am. Just yesterday I scored TWO pairs of BCBGeneration pumps, in black patent leather and vintage nude (both originally $90 each) for $22.49 each! A true awe-inspiring moment.

While you're (hopefully) taking advantage of all the sales going on right now, keep some of my helpful hints in mind:

1. Go There. I've found that you can score better deals when physically going to the store and can usually find more sizes. However, there are exceptions. With stores like Forever21, sales are easier found online. So, do your research!

2. Practice Patients. Finding good deals takes time and patients. Searching through racks of crap and

2. Look Past the Sale Price. I've come to find that I sometimes fall in love with how good the deal is, rather than the actual item that I'm buying. Just yesterday I almost bought an MK wristlet just because it was on sale! Ask yourself, "Would you be just as in love with is if it was full-price?"
